A leading health service provider in Scotland is seeking a part-time MRI Modality Lead Radiographer for their paediatric service. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day operations and support staff development in a state-of-the-art facility. Extensive MRI experience, a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography, and HCPC registration are essential for this role, which includes participation in a 7-day working schedule.

MRI Modality Lead Radiographer Band 7
The Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, is currently inviting applications for a part‑time MRI Modality Lead Radiographer.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated hardworking individual to jointly lead the MRI service as part of our highly skilled team in a state‑of‑the‑art facility. Modality Lead is responsible for maintaining clinical and professional standards whilst providing comprehensive and effective day‑to‑day management of the paediatric MRI service. The post holder will demonstrate strong commitment to supporting staff training and development.
There are two 1.5T MRI scanners, one of which is co‑located to the theatre complex providing imaging for patients undergoing MRI imaging under General Anaesthetic or Sedation. The Radiology department strives to provide excellent patient focussed care while providing an innovative learning environment which will allow the successful candidate to develop exceptional skills, adapting techniques to achieve successful scanning of patients from premature neonates to adolescents and young adults. This is a dedicated paediatric service delivering a provision of specialist examinations for local, regional and national services including cardiac, neurosurgical, foetal and oncological imaging. Applicants should have extensive experience of MRI and adapting protocols for image optimisation. Previous specialist paediatric experience is desired.
If successful in your application, you will be required to participate in 7 day working over 365 days. It is essential you have a BSc (Hons) or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography / Imaging Sciences with current registration with the HCPC. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check.
