Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil is seeking a Diagnostic Radiographer on a maternity secondment for 11 months, delivering protocol-led imaging across general, A&E, fluoroscopy, theatre and portables.

The role includes 12-hour day and night shifts, weekends, CPD requirement and active participation in QA programmes, with adherence to radiation safety and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Formación

• BSc (Hons) or DCR(R) in Diagnostic Radiography.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Welsh speaking and listening skills at Level 3 (CEFR B2) or above.

Responsabilidades

• Provide high-standard imaging, adhering to protocols and procedures.
• Maintain a high standard of care for all service users.
• Rotate through General, A&E, Fluoroscopy and Theatre & Portables.
• Work the out-of-hours shift system, including weekends and 12-hour shifts.
• Keep CPD up to date, with a record in line with HCPC requirements.
• Take part in departmental QA programmes.
• Work within rules and regulations on radiation safety.

Diagnostic Radiographer secondment covering maternity leave for 11 months, until 7 September 2027, in the radiology department at Prince Charles Hospital. The post rotates through general, A&E, fluoroscopy and theatre and portables, delivering protocol-led imaging and continuing professional development. The 24/7 department runs out-of-hours shifts, including 12-hour day and night shifts and weekends. Fit depends on a BSc or DCR(R) in diagnostic radiography with current HCPC registration, and secondment applicants need line manager approval before applying.
