A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a full-time Diagnostic Booking Administrator. The successful candidate will manage patient appointments, improve service efficiency, and ensure compliance with booking standards. Strong customer service skills and IT literacy are essential, along with knowledge of Patient Administrative Systems. We are looking to recruit a full-time Band 3 Diagnostic Booking Administrator who shares our vision and is guided by the Trust's core values of being kind, collaborative, aspirational and expert.
The successful candidate will join our busy Diagnostic Team and help fulfil our customer service guarantee by reducing call wait times and improving patient experience. This role involves working in a centralised setting and being responsible for answering patient calls, booking appointments within diagnostic target times and adhering to the Trust Access Policy.
You will liaise with doctors, nurses and other hospital departments, ensuring accurate and timely communication. The post holder will be proactive, able to work autonomously and use initiative to solve problems, while collaborating effectively with clinical and administrative teams to deliver service objectives.
You will need to balance the demands of a busy workload and remain dedicated to delivering excellent patient experience. Knowledge of Patient Administrative Systems such as CERNER is desirable. Strong IT skills are essential to perform computer-based functions and provide advice to patients and service users. Previous experience in a patient-facing role with excellent customer care, communication and interpersonal skills is required.
