A prominent healthcare organization in Liverpool is seeking a Diabetes Specialist Nurse to enhance diabetes care and education across various community services. The ideal candidate will be a non-medical prescriber with experience working autonomously in diabetes management. This role includes responsibilities in clinical governance and delivering educational programs, offering a chance to innovate in diabetes care.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Diabetes Specialist Nurse (DSN) to be at the forefront of driving up standards and quality in diabetes care in Community and Primary Care Services across the city of Liverpool. The role will include working in a variety of other clinical areas, local communities and the Primary Care Networks. Working in partnership with the diabetes teams of Liverpool Universities NHS Hospital Trust and services delivered by Mersey Care the role is diverse, varied and offers the opportunity for innovation and change. The post holder will be a non‑medical prescriber and have experience of working autonomously within the field of Diabetes and with the ability to work to evidence‑based guidelines; audit the care given to patients to make and suggest improvements in services. The post holder will also be required to deliver complex educational packages to health care professionals and patients around effective diabetes management.
