A local government department is offering a work experience opportunity in Lisburn focused on collections for Habitat ReStore. Participants will support donations collection in the van and sort goods for display, enhancing their customer interaction skills. The role requires lifting and flexibility, with a commitment of 25–30 hours per week. Travel costs may be reimbursed, and participants receive £10 per day for up to £50 weekly. This experience lasts for 8 weeks and is perfect for those wanting to develop teamwork and organizational skills.
At Habitat ReStore, individuals will gain work experience in the area of collections and managing the donations received in the warehouse. Individuals will assist with collections from individual or corporate donors in the surrounding area. Tasks will include being out in the lorry or van to local homes or businesses to collect donations, assisting with the unloading of the items to the donation centre, ensuring all times are labelled and recorded, and moving stock to the shop floor.
Employer: Habitat for Humanity. This work experience opportunity is expected to last for 8 weeks and will require attendance of 25–30 hours per week. While on work experience, participants will retain their entitlement to benefit. Travel and childcare costs may be reimbursed.
