Job Overview
As a member of the Technology team, the DevOps Manager assumes a pivotal hands‑on position, responsible for driving deployment automation, managing client‑facing cloud infrastructure, ensuring site reliability, and upholding security standards. The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record of managing teams and projects, automating security protocols, proactively identifying vulnerabilities during development phases, and guaranteeing the security and compliance of applications, systems, and infrastructure. Leading a team of Site Reliability and DevOps Engineers, the DevOps Manager will spearhead the establishment of standard operating procedures, surpass service‑level agreements, and meticulously adhere to change‑management protocols by fostering collaboration and enhancing automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on DevOps best practices including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing.
- Develop clear and up‑to‑date documentation of team practices, procedures, and standards.
- Lead sprint planning, implementation, stand‑ups and demos.
- Design, implement, and maintain secure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of systems to meet or exceed defined service level agreements (SLAs).
- Design strategies to enhance development delivery.
- Proactively plan and manage the capacity of systems to handle current and future workloads.
- Collaborate with Development and Data teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance phases.
- Implement security controls within the build pipeline and tests to identify vulnerabilities, code flaws, and misconfigurations, and manage security tools such as SAST/DAST, container security, and vulnerability scanners.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years in a lead role with multiple direct reports.
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, ideally coming from a development background, with an emphasis on working with Azure and/or AWS.
- 2+ years of experience working with logging, SIEM and metrics tools, vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys, InsightVM, etc.), and code analysis tools (linters, Snyk, or similar).
- In‑depth experience with containers, container orchestration and scheduling, service registration/discovery and monitoring (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
- Practical experience developing software or meeting operational needs with code and scripting (Powershell, Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby).
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and supporting tools (Azure DevOps, Octopus, similar).
- Experience with infrastructure automation frameworks (Ansible, Chef, Terraform, or similar).
- Good interpersonal skills and communication with a passion for working with all types of managers, architects, developers, QA, and operations personnel.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and track time efficiently.
- Desire to learn and continually improve self and others through knowledge sharing.

Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary range: $150,000 – $170,000.
- Annual bonus opportunity: 15%.
