Job summary

Jump Trading Group in London is seeking a dynamic software engineer to join a growing quantitative trading team. You will own trading and operational issues, deploy production trading services, and scale fault-tolerant Python infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has strong Python and Linux skills, some C++/SQL experience, and a passion for automated electronic trading. You will collaborate with traders and technologists to drive robust systems and impactful solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Python and Linux; C++/SQL preferable.
• Strong debugging skills in code and systems infrastructure.
• Good instincts for performance vs simplicity trade-offs.
• Ability to make engineering decisions for maintainability, extensibility and debuggability.

Jump is looking to add a dynamic software engineer to one of our growing quantitative trading teams. The individual in this role willwork hand in hand withtraders and technologiststo take ownership of trading issues, operational issues, and the deployment process for the team's production trading, with a focus on making the processes scalable and fault tolerant. This will involve writing and maintaining a complex python infrastructure, as well as ensuring that the production servers are properly configured, and that various sources of information for production processes are kept up to date. The ideal candidate will be passionate about development, keen to learn about automated electronic trading and able to solve difficult technical problems in a fast-paced and energetic environment.In this role, a candidate can expect exposure to a wide range of interesting and challenging problems.

The trading team sees technology as a key component of their continued success and candidates will be exposed to cool cutting edge technologies.
