DevOps Engineer – GCP – London / Home office

The Company:

Through the power of AI and Big Data, this company has developed data-driven tools and platforms aimed at delivering transparent financial solutions, focusing on sustainable investment.

The company has four arms: a Data Provider, AI, Asset Management, and a focus on R&D of AI, ML, Data, Finance, and sustainability.

You will be based in the client’s London office, with the option for home office work, but will be required to travel to the office when needed.

The Job:

The role involves owning CI/CD pipelines, the Kubernetes platform, and leading the roadmap of improvements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying tools, patterns, and best practices
  • Ensuring scalable, automated, and secure systems
  • Designing and architecting software
  • Developing infrastructure as code
  • Designing and implementing monitoring, logging, and tracing
  • Setting up security best practices
The Candidate:

The ideal candidate has experience with:

  • GCP (GKE, Cloud Build, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Bigtable/Bigquery, IAM, Container registry, KSM)
  • Kubernetes (GKE, HPA, gRPC, Multi-cluster communication, service meshes, control plane, ingress controllers)
  • Tooling experience
  • Docker and containerization
  • CI/CD experience
  • Terraform or Ansible
  • Monitoring tools and best practices
  • Working knowledge of networking
