Job summary

IBM Consulting UK FutureNow is hiring to design, build and support modern cloud and platform solutions. You will develop IaC with Terraform/CloudFormation, create robust CI/CD pipelines and containerised apps with Docker/Kubernetes.

You will embed DevSecOps, implement observability and automate operations, while collaborating with delivery teams in regulated environments across public and private sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Experience in DevOps, Platform/Cloud Engineering or similar role.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Cloud platforms AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Scripting with Python, Bash, PowerShell.
• Monitoring/Observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Datadog.
• Understanding security principles in SDLC and cloud environments.
• Git-based source control and collaborative development.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
• BPSS pre-employment screening; NSV may be required.

• Bachelor's Degree Experience working in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering or similar role.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as: GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code approaches, including Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Experience working with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud.
• Experience scripting and automating tasks using Python, Bash, PowerShell or similar languages.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging and observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk or Datadog.
• Understanding of security principles and how they apply throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Experience working with Git-based source control and collaborative development practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• This role is subject to successful completion of pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
• Depending on the client and assignment, additional National Security Vetting (NSV) may be required, including eligibility for Enhanced Security Check (eSC) or Enhanced Developed Vetting (eDV).
