Saragossa, a hedge fund in London, seeks its first DevOps Engineer to architect the infrastructure behind our AI initiatives. You will decide how the core platform is built, taking ownership of AWS, Kubernetes and Terraform and shaping the infra strategy from day one.
You'll work in a flat, fast-moving environment with minimal approvals, and you may contribute to an in-house inference stack including on-premises components. Expect rapid impact and a scope to influence long-term tech direction.
Be the first DevOps Engineer at a hedge fund who are backing AI.
Most infrastructure roles ask you to fit into something that already exists. This one doesn't. You'd join a 40-person hedge fund betting big on AI, and you'd decide how the infrastructure behind that bet gets built.
Right now, the researchers and engineers training and deploying AI models are carrying their own infrastructure. You would be responsible for building out the DevOps structure moving forward at the fund.
You'll be working on AWS, Kubernetes and Terraform and afforded the ownership to build as you see fit within a flat hierarchy.
There's no legacy stack to untangle, no old Terraform you didn't write. You'd set the standards, pick the tools, and shape how this firm builds infrastructure for years to come.
It doesn't stop at cloud, either. There's a potential in-house inference stack on the table, including on-premises infrastructure, still at the spec stage which you can help design.
This is a flat, fast-moving firm. You won't need three approvals to make something better. You'll see your work land in real workflows within weeks, not quarters.
If you've wanted to build a platform function from scratch instead of maintaining someone else's, this is that chance. You bring the technical ability and the agency.
