Job summary

Cabinet Office Digital seeks a DevOps Engineer to join the Technical Live Services team. You will design, implement, and operate CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of infrastructure supporting government services.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to gather requirements, promote agile practices, and deliver user-centered digital services. Travel between sites is expected to support meetings and collaborative work.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot live production software.
• Knowledge of software security best practices and secure coding.

Responsibilities

• Supporting, operating, and maintaining software in live production environments.
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining development and deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
• Writing clean, secure, and well-tested code with commentary and documentation.
• Adhering to internal software development standards across multidisciplinary teams.
• Providing integrated, user-focused solutions across multiple platforms.
• Packaging and deploying software updates with change management procedures (occasional off-hours).
• Traveling between sites for meetings and collaborative sessions.
