Job summary

Peaple Talent is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Bristol to help build and optimize our next-generation AI tool. You will focus on maintaining scalable, secure cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines, partnering with senior engineers to improve reliability, automation, and security.

You will work on IaC, CI/CD automation, and monitoring while collaborating across engineering teams to enhance deployment processes and incident response capabilities.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Strong CI/CD tooling experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Linux administration, networking fundamentals, and security practices.
• Docker containerisation and basic Kubernetes understanding.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and support scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
• Develop, optimise, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient software delivery.
• Implement best practices across Infrastructure as Code (IaC), operational automation, and system monitoring.

Peaple Talent are partnered with a fast-growing, high-tech software business based in Bristol seeking a DevOps Engineer to help build their next-generation AI tool. Partnered with industry-leading technology giants and backed by top-tier innovation programmes, they are building production-grade infrastructure for businesses seeking enterprise-grade operations at scale.

This role is focussed on the maintenance, and optimisation of their cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. Working alongside senior engineers, you will focus on improving system reliability, automation, and security while taking ownership of core operational environments.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
• Practical hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Solid experience configuring and managing CI/CD tooling (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Good knowledge of Linux administration, networking fundamentals, and core security practices.
• Experience with containerisation (Docker) and a basic understanding of orchestration (Kubernetes).
