Job summary

A government technology department in Exeter is seeking a full-time developer to provide technical support for a range of applications built on Microsoft tooling. Responsibilities include analysing processes for optimisation, managing data integrations, and supporting Power BI and Dynamics 365. This role involves 37 hours of work per week, with flexibility in working patterns.

Qualifications

  • Experience in developing and maintaining integrations between cloud-based and on-premise systems.
  • Demonstrable experience with Microsoft services including Dynamics 365 CRM, Power Platform and SQL Server BI.
  • Good level of knowledge of Power BI development practices and Microsoft Fabric.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse current processes and identify opportunities to optimise them and implement. Help to evaluate and establish requirements for the implementation of changes.
  • Develop and support applications and services built upon Microsoft tooling such as Power Platform and Fabric.
  • Proactively monitor services for issues and provide a prompt response to incidents.
  • Design, implement, and maintain tools and processes for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of business services. Collaborating with others when necessary to review and agree specifications to design, code, test and document programs or scripts.
  • Manage and develop critical business data integrations between systems.
Qualifications
  • Experience in developing and maintaining integrations between both cloud-based and on-premise systems.
  • Demonstrable experience with Microsoft services – including Dynamics 365 CRM, Power Platform and SQL Server Business Intelligence (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS).
  • Good knowledge of Power BI & Fabric development/support – demonstrate a good level of knowledge of Power BI development practices and Microsoft Fabric, or ability to develop excellent skills in these technologies.
  • Experience of analysing current processes to identify and implement optimisations; experience of assisting in the evaluation and establishment of requirements for the implementation of changes.
  • Collaboration with others when necessary to review specifications and use these to design, code, test and document programs or scripts of medium-to-high complexity, using the right standards and tools.
