Qualifications

  • Experience of working in an Agile/SCRUM/DevOps delivery model.
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible.
  • Experience in building and deploying large-scale applications in Continuous Integration/Delivery pipelines.
  • Familiarity with container platform and orchestration systems like Kubernetes/Docker.
  • Experience in automation and integration tools such as Jenkins, Concourse CI.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages and source control.

Our client, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a qualified DevOps Engineer to join their team. This permanent role involves deploying applications and software to both cloud and on-prem environments for various business areas. The opportunity is based in an office at one of our client's sites in either Gloucester or Manchester, with the potential for hybrid working.

This role requires the applicant to hold an active eDV clearance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building and setting up development tools and infrastructure
  • Understanding the needs of project stakeholders
  • Automating and improving development and release processes
  • Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cyber security threats
  • Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and solutions
  • Collaborating with other engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended

  • Experience of working in an Agile/SCRUM/DevOps delivery model
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.
