Job summary

Dexory, based in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, is expanding its senior infrastructure team. This hybrid role oversees building and operating scalable infrastructure and tooling for fast deployment of user-facing apps and internal services.

You will manage cloud infrastructure across AWS/Azure/GCP, implement IaC with Terraform, and lead CI/CD efforts while mentoring junior engineers. Experience in scale-up environments and a DevOps-first mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure or platform engineering in a high-growth tech context.
• Strong hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (preferably Terraform).
• Experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to build/maintain CI/CD pipelines and self-service tooling.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling for multiple teams.
• Manage cloud infrastructure across providers and Kubernetes for apps and internal services.
• Build IaC with Terraform on Terraform Cloud to ensure repeatable environments.
• Support monitoring, logging, observability and alerting with Grafana for production health.
• Drive DevOps best practices: reliability, velocity, automated testing, rollback, security hardening.
• Mentor less-senior DevOps/infrastructure engineers.

At Dexory, we are transforming the warehousing and logistics industry through data intelligence.

We’re currently recruiting for a senior infrastructure engineer to define, build and operate the infrastructure and tooling necessary for our rapidly growing business. You will be responsible for supporting high-velocity deployment of user-facing applications, internal services, and infrastructure at scale, while ensuring stability, reliability and automation.

Offices based in Wallingford, Oxford but flexible remote basis (circa one day every week on site)

Any experience within robotics or start up / scale up environments desirable along with experience working on multiple cloud platforms vs being tied to just vendor.

Open to the career background candidates are coming from (infrastructure, DevOps, site reliability, platform etc)

Responsibilities / Skills

• Develop and Maintain CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling that supports multiple engineering teams with different technical requirements – enabling self-service, repeatable deployments, and high-throughput delivery.
• Manage cloud infrastructure across a wide range of cloud providers, using Kubernetes, for both user-facing applications and internal services – provision, monitor, optimise cost, performance and reliability.
• Build infrastructure-as-code (IaC) with Terraform on Terraform Cloud, establishing standards for repeatable environments, reducing manual processes and increasing automation.
• Support monitoring, logging, observability and alerting systems, via Grafana, to support production health, incident detection, root-cause analysis and rapid recovery.
• Drive a culture of DevOps best-practice across teams: infrastructure reliability, deployment-velocity, automated testing, rollback strategies, security/infrastructure hardening.
• Mentor and guide less-senior DevOps/infrastructure engineers
• Significant experience (typically 7+ years) in DevOps, infrastructure or platform engineering roles in a high-growth tech company (scale-up) or equivalent.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), infrastructure as code (ideally Terraform), containers (Docker), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD tooling.
• Proven track record of building and managing CI/CD pipelines (ideally GitHub Actions), automation frameworks and self‑service developer tooling (Backstage).
• Strong programming skills in either Go or Typescript, and experience with configuration management tools.
