A leading bank in Manchester seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer for a hybrid role. JOB TITLE: DevOps Engineer
SALARY: £70,929 - £85,000 per annum
LOCATION: Manchester
HOURS: Full-time - 35 hours
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Manchester office.

Lead and Influence Ways of Working - Champion DevOps principles and modern engineering practices across teams, fostering a culture of automation and continuous improvement.
Build and Optimise CI/CD Pipelines - Design, implement, and maintain pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git, Nexus, and Maven to enable fast, reliable software delivery.
Infrastructure as Code - Use Terraform to provision and manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability and compliance.
Containerisation and Orchestration - Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes, optimising for performance and resilience.
Monitoring and Observability - Implement and maintain monitoring solutions with Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, and Kibana to ensure system health and proactive issue resolution.
Continuous Deployment and Release Strategies - Work with tools like Harness to enable automated deployments and advanced release strategies.
Security and Compliance - Embed security best practices into pipelines and infrastructure, ensuring adherence to governance and regulatory standards.
Proven experience in DevOps engineering and CI/CD pipeline design.
Strong knowledge of Jenkins, Git, Nexus, Maven, and Terraform.
Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
Familiarity with Harness for deployment automation.
Expertise in monitoring and observability tools: Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, Kibana.
Strong understanding of cloud‑native architectures and infrastructure automation.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in Agile environments.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with cost optimisation and autoscaling strategies in cloud environments.
Knowledge of security automation and compliance frameworks.
Familiarity with performance tuning and advanced deployment strategies.
