Job summary

Roboyo in the United Kingdom is seeking a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and support reliable infrastructure for our clients. You will work closely with application and platform engineers to implement cloud-native solutions that scale and perform.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with Azure, AKS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines, plus monitoring with Grafana, Prometheus, and Azure Monitor. Experience across Linux and Windows, Git, Terraform, and Helm is valued.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of hands-on Azure and Kubernetes (AKS) in production.
• Strong Docker knowledge and container orchestration.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably YAML-based.
• Familiar with Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience with Terraform and Helm for IaC.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage Docker containers and AKS clusters using automated pipelines.
• Maintain Azure infrastructure including VMs, networking, storage, IAM, Key Vault, and NSG.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Monitor system performance with Elastic Agent, Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Monitor.
• Collaborate with client teams to deliver scalable DevOps solutions.
• Provide on-call support and ensure SLA/SLO/SLI adherence.
• Keep up-to-date with cloud-native technologies.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our UK team is excited to welcome a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to join our growing Managed Services team at Roboyo . In this role, you’ll work closely with application and platform engineers to design, deploy, and support reliable infrastructure solutions for our clients.

We’re looking for someone with a strong foundation in Azure, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices — particularly in building and managing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native monitoring. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, automation, and contributing to platform stability and performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Docker containers and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters using automated pipelines.
• Manage and operate Azure infrastructure including VMs, networking, storage, IAM, Key Vault, and S ecurity G roups .
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps , including release workflows and infrastructure automation.
• Monitor /Logging system performance using tools like Elastic Agent , Prometheus , Azure Monitor , and Grafana .
• Collaborate with development and client teams to implement robust, scalable DevOps solutions.
• Ensure service reliability through SLA/SLO/SLI tracking and proactive issue resolution.
• Provide on-call support on a rotational basis for high-priority incidents.
• Continuously improve system architecture, automation, and operational processes.
• Stay current with industry best practices and evolving cloud-native technologies.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Azure and Kubernetes (AKS) in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, container orchestration, and Kubernetes core components (e.g., Pods, PVs, Services , ConfigMap , DNS, networking).
• Proven experience with Azure services including storage, virtual machines, networking, IAM, and security configurations.
• Solid understanding and usage of CI/CD tools (especially Azure DevOps ) with the ability to write pipelines stages in YAML .
• Experience with Logging and observability tools: Elastic Agent, Prometheus, Azure Monitor, and Grafana.
• Comfortable with both Linux and Windows environments.
• Familiar with version control systems, especially Git.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Helm.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Have or meet UK Enhanced Security checks to support clients of national importance.

NICE TO HAVE

• Scripting experience with Bash , PowerShell and Python
• Kubernetes certification (CKA, CKAD) is a plus.
• ITIL knowledge or experience in service management is beneficial
