Job summary

Glocomms is partnering with a global trading and investment firm to hire a DevOps Engineer for its Security Engineering team in the UK. You will shape secure, scalable platforms by building CI/CD pipelines, implementing GitOps, and automating security controls across infrastructure and deployments.

You will collaborate with infrastructure, platform, and security teams to embed security into engineering workflows while maintaining speed and reliability in a fast-paced tech environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on with IaC tools Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience managing Kubernetes environments across clusters.
• Strong Linux administration and networking fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
• Develop automation and tooling to support engineering and data-focused initiatives.
• Partner with security teams to integrate security controls into pipelines (SAST, DAST, vulnerability management).
• Support and enhance secrets management platforms such as HashiCorp Vault.
• Improve observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting across infra and security environments.
• Automate operational processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and security.
• Manage and secure containerized environments using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Support incident response, troubleshooting, and remediation across infra and deployment platforms.
• Continuously improve platform reliability, performance, scalability, and security posture.

Responsibiltiies:

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows
• Develop automation and tooling to support engineering and data-focused initiatives
• Partner with security teams to integrate security controls into development and deployment pipelines, including SAST, DAST, and vulnerability management solutions
• Support and enhance secrets management platforms such as HashiCorp Vault
• Improve observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities across infrastructure and security environments
• Automate operational processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and security
• Manage and secure containerized environments using Kubernetes and Docker

Skills required:

• Strong programming and scripting experience
• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience managing Kubernetes environments across multiple clusters and environments
• Strong Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals
• Familiarity with public cloud platforms including AWS and/or Azure
• Good understanding of security best practices, including secrets management, least-privilege access, and vulnerability remediation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across technical teams
