Job summary

Provn, in partnership with a leading international multi-strategy investment business, is seeking a DevOps Engineer for its Glasgow office. The role focuses on developing and maintaining cloud infrastructure and advancing hybrid cloud strategies while supporting modern DevOps practices across the organisation.

You will own cloud infrastructure, automate via IaC, and collaborate with engineering and quantitative teams to deliver scalable cloud solutions, monitor and optimize performance, and

Qualifications

• Proven experience in building and managing AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of AWS networking, IAM, and cost management.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• CI/CD tooling experience and automation.
• Scripting in Python is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure primarily within AWS.
• Support and enhance hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure environments.
• Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tooling.
• Work closely with engineering and quantitative teams to deliver scalable cloud solutions.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling across the platform engineering function.
• Contribute to monitoring, logging, and observability capabilities across cloud services.

As the business continues to grow its global platform engineering capabilities, the successful candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining cloud infrastructure while supporting modern DevOps practices across the organisation.

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership of cloud infrastructure and automation initiatives, contributing to hybrid infrastructure strategy, and collaborating with stakeholders across the business.

Candidates should have strong experience working with AWS environments and infrastructure-as-code tools, alongside a solid understanding of cloud networking, security, and DevOps tooling.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure primarily within AWSSupport and enhance hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure environments
• Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tooling
• Work closely with engineering and quantitative teams to deliver scalable cloud solutions
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling across the platform engineering function
• Contribute to monitoring, logging, and observability capabilities across cloud services

Key Skills

• Experience working with AWS cloud services (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda etc.)
• Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools
• Solid understanding of AWS networking, IAM roles, and cloud cost management
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling
• Scripting experience (Python desirable)
• Experience working within hybrid cloud environments is beneficial
