Dexory in Wallingford, Oxfordshire is hiring a DevOps Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer on a permanent hybrid basis (onsite roughly one day per week). You will define, build and operate infrastructure and tooling to support high-velocity deployment of apps and services at scale, ensuring stability and reliability.

The role requires hands-on experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD tooling, plus scripting in Python/Bash/Go/TypeScript.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps, infrastructure or platform engineering roles.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD tooling.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, Bash, Go or TypeScript).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling to enable self-service deployments.
• Manage cloud infrastructure across providers using Kubernetes for apps and internal services.
• Build infrastructure-as-code with Terraform on Terraform Cloud and establish repeatable environments.
• Support monitoring, logging, observability and alerting with Grafana for production health.
• Drive DevOps best practices: reliability, velocity, automated testing, security hardening.
• Participate in incident response, post-mortems, and continuous improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with software teams to align tooling with workflows.

DevOps Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Wallingford - Oxfordshire (Hybrid) onsite circa 1 day per week

At Dexory, we are transforming the warehousing and logistics industry through data intelligence. We’re currently recruiting for a devops engineer to define, build and operate the infrastructure and tooling necessary for our rapidly growing business. You will be responsible for supporting high-velocity deployment of user-facing applications, internal services, and infrastructure at scale, while ensuring stability, reliability and automation.

Offices based in Wallingford, Oxfordshire but flexible hybrid basis (circa one day every week on site)

Any experience within robotics or start up / scale up environments desirable along with experience working on multiple cloud platforms vs being tied to just vendor.

Open to the career background candidates are coming from (infrastructure, DevOps, site reliability, platform etc)

Responsibilities / Skills

• Develop and Maintain CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling that supports multiple engineering teams with different technical requirements – enabling self-service, repeatable deployments, and high-throughput delivery.
• Manage cloud infrastructure across a wide range of cloud providers, using Kubernetes, for both user-facing applications and internal services – provision, monitor, optimise cost, performance and reliability.
• Build infrastructure-as-code (IaC) with Terraform on Terraform Cloud, establishing standards for repeatable environments, reducing manual processes and increasing automation.
• Support monitoring, logging, observability and alerting systems, via Grafana, to support production health, incident detection, root-cause analysis and rapid recovery.
• Drive a culture of DevOps best-practice across teams: infrastructure reliability, deployment-velocity, automated testing, rollback strategies, security/infrastructure hardening..
• Participate in incident response, perform post-mortems, establish improvements and ensure operational readiness.
• Experience (typically 3+ years) in DevOps, infrastructure or platform engineering roles in a high-growth tech company (scale-up) or equivalent.
• Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), infrastructure as code (ideally Terraform), containers (Docker), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD tooling.
• Proven track record of building and managing CI/CD pipelines (ideally GitHub Actions), automation frameworks and ideally self-service developer tooling (Backstage).
• Experience working cross-functionally with software engineering teams, understanding developer workflows and aligning infrastructure/tooling accordingly.
• Strong programming skills in either Python, Bash, Go or Typescript, and experience with configuration management tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills – able to articulate technical trade-offs, influence engineers and stakeholders, and drive adoption of infrastructure standards.
• A proactive, service-oriented mindset, comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities.
