Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our Group Data function. This role is instrumental in advancing our cloud infrastructure strategy, with a focus on automation, scalability, and security. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with solution architects and cross‑functional teams to ensure the seamless deployment and operation of technology solutions within our AWS environment. Responsibilities
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining robust AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
  • Developing and managing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI / CD) pipelines to support agile software delivery
  • Collaborating with architecture and security teams to ensure compliance with governance frameworks and best practices
  • Deploying and managing containerised applications using Docker and ECS, leveraging Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
  • Monitoring system performance and reliability using tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, and the ELK stack
  • Contributing to solution design, risk assessment, and project planning activities
  • Promoting continuous improvement and innovation across DevOps practices and tooling
  • Ensuring all development activities adhere to change governance and software development lifecycle (SDLC) standards
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in designing and managing AWS‑based infrastructure
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash
  • Strong experience with Docker, ECS, and Terraform
  • Familiarity with CI / CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and version control using GitHub
  • Experience with Windows Server, PowerShell, and Linux environments
  • Exposure to data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Qlik Replicate) is advantageous
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in agile, collaborative environments
