Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a hands-on Cloud/DevOps engineer to lead delivery on large-scale, technology-driven transformation programs. You’ll drive infrastructure as code, automate deployments, and improve availability, latency and efficiency of services for internal or client-facing applications.

You will also help define standards, collaborate across teams, and contribute to security and reliability while enjoying Capgemini's inclusive culture and learning opportunities.

Your role

Be a leader on delivery projects while working on day-to-day BAU and support tasks. Proactively create and deliver infrastructure as code to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of our internal or customer-facing services

  • Lead troubleshooting and problem solving. Help with capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis and system tuning.
  • Take the lead contributing and creating new designs, architectures and standards for new projects or solutions to improve current infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the stability and security of the environment
  • Define process and best practices for reliable and timely delivery and communicate work status regularly with a clear articulation of design choices along the way.

Your Skills And Experience
Essentials
  • Cloud Platforms - deploying and automation (AWS or Azure)
  • Linux System Administration (e.g. Ubuntu)
  • Networking (e.g. Loadbalancers, Routing, Switching)
  • Kubernetes Administration (e.g. EKS, GKE, kOps)
  • CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins, Concourse, gitlab-ci, github actions)
  • Infrastructure as Code and configuration management (e.g. Terraform , ansible, chef)
  • Experience in at least 1 scripting / programming language (e.g. Python, Bash, Go, Java)
  • Monitoring and observability tooling (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Dynatrace, ELK)
  • Demonstrated ability to work across cross-functional teams, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
  • Security and compliance tooling (e.g. Trivy scanning, HashiCorp Vault)
  • Database administration (SQL/NoSQL)
  • Configuration management (e.g. ansible, chef)
  • Virtualisation (VMWare)
  • Strong facilitation, communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing at multiple levels.
