Job summary

SwitchTech Talent is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a newly formed SRE team in Colchester. The role centers on improving performance, reliability, scalability and operability of production systems at scale, in a hybrid setup.

Candidates will work with PHP/Java/.Net backends, leverage Azure cloud, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code to enhance observability, monitoring and incident response across global platforms.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand, diagnose and fix production code in PHP/ Java or .Net.
• Reported experience with degraded legacy systems and driving operational excellence.
• Strong background in observability, monitoring, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar).
• Experience with cloud technologies (preferably Azure), Kubernetes, and working with Infrastructure as Code.

Technical Environment:

• Ability to understand, diagnose and fix production code in PHP/ Java or .Net.
• Previously degraded legacy systems and driven operational excellence
• Strong background in observability, monitoring, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar)
• Experience with cloud technologies (preferably Azure), Kubernetes, and working with Infrastructure as Code
