Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation and optimisation of enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
• Architect end-to-end software delivery workflows across dev, test, security and deployment environments.
• Drive CI/CD platform migration and modernisation with migration planning and onboarding.
• Install and manage infrastructure for pipeline execution across cloud and on-premises.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Platform, Security and App teams to define scalable patterns and templates.
• Onboard and modernise applications using containerisation, IaC adoption and pipeline config.
• Integrate SAST, SCA, DAST and container scanning into CI/CD workflows.
• Establish DevSecOps governance, security standards and compliance controls.
• Develop AI-powered automation patterns for pipeline triaging and remediation.
• Promote modern software delivery practices to improve developer experience and productivity.
• Conduct capability assessments and contribute to transformation roadmaps.
• Define progressive delivery standards with blue-green, canary and rolling deployments.
• Manage infrastructure for pipeline execution including Kubernetes clusters and cloud services.
• Create reusable automation assets and documentation.
• Support pre-sales, PoCs, demos and proposals.
• Ensure security, performance, scalability and quality across CI/CD/DevSecOps.

Role Description

Are you passionate about driving modern DevOps transformations and enabling next-generation software delivery?

We're looking for a seasoned DevOps / Platform Architect to lead enterprise-scale CI/CD transformation, platform modernisation and DevSecOps initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in designing scalable CI/CD architectures, migrating from legacy toolchains, implementing DevSecOps governance and enabling engineering teams across enterprise environments.

The role also offers an opportunity to leverage AI-driven automation and emerging technologies to improve software delivery, pipeline management and engineering productivity.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and optimisation of enterprise CI/CD pipelines, aligned with delivery, security and compliance standards.
• Architect and maintain end-to-end software delivery workflows across development, testing, security and deployment environments.
• Drive CI/CD platform migration and modernisation, including assessment of existing toolchains, target-state architecture, migration planning and application onboarding.
• Implement and manage the infrastructure required for pipeline execution across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Platform, Security and Application Development teams to define scalable CI/CD patterns and reusable pipeline templates.
• Drive application onboarding and modernisation initiatives, including containerisation, Infrastructure-as-Code adoption and pipeline configuration.
• Integrate security capabilities including SAST, SCA, DAST and container scanning into CI/CD workflows.
• Establish and enforce DevSecOps governance, security standards, OPA-based policies and compliance controls.
• Develop and operationalise AI-powered automation patterns for areas such as pipeline triaging, automated issue remediation, impact analysis, decision-making and workflow optimisation.
• Drive adoption of modern software delivery practices to improve developer experience, resilience and engineering productivity.
• Conduct capability assessments, recommend architecture enhancements, develop solution approaches and contribute to CI/CD transformation roadmaps.
• Establish standards for progressive delivery, including blue-green, canary and rolling deployments, with automated rollback mechanisms.
• Configure and manage infrastructure supporting pipeline execution, including Kubernetes clusters, virtual machines, artifact repositories, Git platforms and cloud services.
• Develop and enhance reusable automation assets, pipeline components, accelerators, templates and technical documentation.
• Support pre-sales and solutioning initiatives, including PoCs, technical demonstrations, estimations, presentations and proposals.
• Ensure adherence to security, performance, scalability and quality best practices across CI/CD and DevSecOps implementations.
• Mentor engineering teams, conduct enablement sessions and promote continuous learning around modern DevOps and software delivery practices.
• Stay current with emerging DevOps, cloud, automation and AI capabilities and continuously improve delivery architectures and engineering standards.

Essential Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD engineering, platform engineering or related roles.
• Strong practical experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines and architectures.
• Proven experience in large-scale CI/CD migration, modernisation or transformation projects.
• Strong experience with:
• Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Git workflows – GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps or similar
• YAML, Shell scripting, Python or equivalent scripting languages
• Terraform, Helm or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools
• Solid understanding of DevSecOps, security integration, OPA policy creation and compliance frameworks.
• Strong architectural thinking with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and transformation roadmaps.
• Experience working with cross-functional enterprise teams and leading technical transformation initiatives.

Nice to Have – Harness Platform

• Hands-on experience with the Harness Software Delivery Platform.
• Exposure to Harness capabilities including CI, CD, STO, Chaos Engineering, CCM or AI Agents.
• Experience with Jenkins to Harness, Azure DevOps to Harness or XLR to Harness migrations.
• Candidates with strong enterprise DevOps/CI-CD transformation experience who are willing to learn the Harness platform will also be considered.
