Job summary

CBSbutler is recruiting an Applications DevOps Engineer to join our London engineering team on a hybrid contract basis. The role focuses on Python automation, production stability and continuous improvement within a high‑volume financial tech environment.

You will develop Python-based automation, support critical production services, drive resilience and performance, manage deployments and contribute to CI/CD and observability. The position offers a daily rate of 550–650 GBP and is inside IR35.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development skills for automation and tooling.
• Experience in DevOps, Production Engineering, Platform Engineering or SRE.
• Experience supporting business-critical, high-availability applications.
• Good understanding of CI/CD, deployment, monitoring and SDLCs.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, resilience, failover and capacity management.

Responsibilities

Financial Services Firm is hiring for an experienced Application DevOps Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team supporting critical technology platforms.

This is a hands‑on role focused on Python automation, production stability, application resilience and continuous improvement within a complex, high-volume technology environment. You will work across application, infrastructure and engineering teams to improve the reliability, scalability and operational performance of business‑critical platforms.
