Job description
💥 Graduate Opportunity – Food Development R&D (Get Stuck In, Not Stuck Behind a Desk)

📍 Based in a top‑notch R&D centre

If you’ve just finished a degree in Food Science (or something similar) and you’re wondering how to break into the food industry … this is worth your attention.

One of the leading ingredient innovators in Europe is expanding their R&D team – and they want fresh thinking, not just more of the same. You’ll be joining a business that helps global food brands make better, smarter, tastier products.

This is a proper hands‑on role, working across a fully equipped R&D centre that includes a lab, kitchen, and pilot plant.

You’ll get to :

  • Work on real customer briefs (not just make coffee and label things)
  • Support new product development from idea to factory trial
  • Tweak, test and improve formulations until they’re just right
  • Learn fast from a senior team who know their stuff and actually want to help you grow

You don’t need to have years of experience.

You do need to care about food, be curious, and willing to get involved. Maybe you’ve done a placement in a factory or lab. Maybe you’ve experimented with your own recipes. Maybe you just get how ingredients work together.

Here’s what they’re looking for :

  • A degree in Food Science or something close (Food Tech, Nutrition, Culinary Science – all fair game)
  • Interest in ingredients, food processes and how things scale up from test kitchen to factory line
  • A driving licence (you’ll occasionally travel to customer sites across the UK and EU)
  • And you need the permanent right to work in the UK – no sponsorship for this one

What you’ll get :

  • A rare chance to build your skills in a company that’s growing fast and investing heavily in R&D
  • Structured training, but with space to think for yourself
  • A team that values what grads bring (and doesn’t treat you like a junior assistant to the assistant)
  • Work that actually ends up in real products on real shelves
