Teledyne Energetics UK is looking for a Development Technician to work across multidisciplinary projects, manufacturing engineering prototypes and qualification modules. You will join a hands-on team focused on robust, cost-efficient designs and manufacturable solutions.

You will monitor delivery, control costs, manage stock and support new product introductions, while collaborating with engineers and production to meet objectives and timelines.

Qualificações

• The successful candidate is qualified in electronics engineering to ONC level or above.
• Experienced in testing and manufacturing electronic modules for aerospace and Defence.
• Has developed expertise in manufacturing processes including electronic assembly and soldering.
• Ability to problem solve and apply manufacturing knowledge to new developments.
• Willingness to move to other areas when required.

Design services include modelling and testing of fully packaged circuitry for control and initiation of detonators, which are carried out at our fully licensed site at Lincoln. Role & Responsibilities

The Development Technician will work on a variety of development projects as part of a multidisciplinary team and will be responsible for the manufacture of Engineering Prototypes, Verification and Qualification electronic safety and initiation modules. Liaising with other members of the Engineering team the Development Technician will perform a hands-on role to help develop robust, manufacturable and cost-efficient designs employing up to date technology. The role support development activities by providing feedback on the manufacturability of development hardware and supporting the generation and maintenance of the Product build folders.

• Monitor on time delivery to the agreed plan of manufacturing products at the required quality levels within the allocated hours.
• Take actions to monitor and control costs associated with manufacturing processes.
• Control stock and highlight any shortages within a timely manner to enable on time delivery.
• Control and be accountable for their stock usage and scrap.
• Manage their own time to achieve their objectives.
• Promote teamwork in developing solutions to manufacturing and development programmes.
• Have ongoing input, based on lessons learnt, on development programmes to ensure reliable cost-effective designs are produced.
• Support in the New Product Introduction process.

Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will:

• Be qualified in electronics engineering to ONC level or above.
• Experienced in the testing and manufacture of electronic modules for the aerospace and Defence market.
• Have developed expertise in a wide range of manufacturing processes including electronic assembly and soldering.
• Be able to problem solve and apply knowledge of manufacturing process to new developments.
