Job summary

Animal Trust (UK) Bolton is seeking a Development Team Leader to mentor recent veterinary graduates, drive clinical governance, and support professional growth within the team. You will work with the Lead Vet to address training needs and ensure high standards of care on site.

Responsibilities include leading training delivery, acting as VetGDP advisor, and line-managing graduates and, when needed, more experienced veterinarians, under the guidance of Practice Manager.

Qualifications

  • MRCVS/FRCVS veterinary qualification.
  • VetGDP accreditation or equivalent.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior veterinarians.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
  • Understanding of clinical governance and RCVS codes of conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee clinical development and training of new graduates and <3-year-qualified vets on site.
  • Act as VetGDP Advisor and support training with timely outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Lead Vet to identify and address training gaps.
  • Deliver training sessions and development programs with high clinical standards.
