Development (Plot Sales) Fee Earner - Gloucester - NQ to 2 years PQE+

Location: Gloucester Office (Hybrid/Flexible)

Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 + bonus

Chadwick Nott are pleased to be working with a highly respected law firm seeking a Development (Plot Sales) Fee Earner to join their specialist team in Gloucester. This is a rare opportunity to work with national developer clients on high-quality residential development matters, in a friendly and well-established team.

The Role

This is a client-facing role offering exposure to a wide range of residential development work. Responsibilities include:

  • Handling site set-up of new development sites (training provided)
  • Drafting contracts, transfers, and leases for plot sales
  • Managing part-exchange and resale transactions
  • Responding to enquiries from buyers' legal representatives
  • Reporting to clients on part-exchange properties
  • Managing exchange and completion of sales and purchases
  • Submitting SDLT returns and overseeing registrations
  • Supervising junior staff and supporting team operations
  • Liaising with statutory authorities on infrastructure agreements
  • Supporting the department's billing targets and client relationships
Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a Solicitor or Legal Executive with:

  • NQ to 2 years PQE (property experience required; development experience not essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage client relationships and work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented approach
  • Familiarity with ICT systems and legal platforms
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professional standards
