Job summary

Mouser Electronics, Inc. is seeking a Development Manager to plan, coordinate and supervise the design, development and deployment of Internet Business Applications.

You will maintain, support and upgrade systems in collaboration with the Architecture team and guide the Internet Business Development team on technical issues. You will lead development and deployment, hire and train staff, provide technical leadership, and ensure projects align with business goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Technology.
Proven people management and leadership abilities.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure.
Familiarity with React.
Background in API-first or microservice-based environments.
Experience in Ecommerce would be a plus.
Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills.
Ability to establish, track, and achieve team goals.
Detail-oriented and highly organized.

Responsibilities

Manage development and deployment of new and existing applications for Mouser.com.
Develop, lead and motivate engaged work teams by hiring, training, and managing the software development team.
Provide technical leadership and support to the wider Internet Business team.
Ensure development projects meet business goals and resolve systems issues.
Evaluate projects, recommend solutions, and improve existing applications.
Research and recommend software products and services.
Develop and implement team policies and procedures.
Communicate progress and status to senior management.
Represent the company professionally and maintain confidentiality.
Stay current with industry trends and techniques.
Works with minimum supervision and makes independent judgments.
Flexible to meet the changing needs of the business and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments.

Development Manager

What to expect:

The Development Manager’s role is to plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of the Internet Business Applications. The Development Manager is also responsible for maintaining, supporting, and upgrading existing application systems and software in collaboration with the Architecture team.
