A local government authority in Greater London is seeking a Development Manager to support the delivery of high-quality, affordable housing solutions. As part of our newly restructured service, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of innovative housing solutions and ensuring the smooth running of complex programmes. Working alongside experienced colleagues and a wide range of partners, you will contribute your expertise to the successful delivery of our Building for Lewisham programme and other strategic initiatives.

There are two roles – one is permanent, and the other is a fixed term contract for a minimum of 2 years.

You will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of innovative, high-quality, and affordable homes across Lewisham; with your expertise ensuring we secure our delivery objectives, achieve high-impact outcomes and create real social value for Lewisham's residents. You thrive in a highly commercial, fast-paced and result driven environment; working as part of a dynamic team, collaborating with colleagues and a wide range of partners to ensure the successful delivery of the Building for Lewisham programme and other strategic initiatives. You will be able to apply your strong financial acumen, understanding of the Building Safety Act and risk mitigation skills to managing different types of projects (direct delivery, developer-led, section 106 purchases, etc) from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered to the highest standards of quality, cost, and time.
The job is primarily based in Laurence House, Catford, London, SE6 4RU but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.

£63,816 - £66,084 per annum (PO8)
N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
