Job summary

South Kesteven District Council in the East Midlands is seeking a senior leader to head the Development Management and Planning Enforcement sections within the Planning and Growth Directorate. You will set policy for development implementation and provide professional direction for how these services are commissioned and delivered.

The role is politically restricted and sits at the heart of delivering housing growth and town centre regeneration as part of the council's corporate priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Development Management and Planning Enforcement sections of the Planning and Growth Directorate
• Put in place robust development implementation policies for the Council
• Provide professional leadership for the commissioning and delivery of Development Management and Planning Enforcement services
• Ensure those services are high quality, efficient and focused on customers
• Contribute to delivery of the Council's strategic corporate priorities, including growth and regeneration
