We want to appoint an enthusiastic and committed support officer to join our skilled Planning Development Management Service which deals with a wide range of planning projects.

It is an excellent time to join Guildford, the Authority has a keen focus on preserving the Boroughs heritage and landscape whilst ensuring that we provide high quality homes and access to employment.

In This Role You Would
  • Be responsible for maintaining and monitoring a database for planning appeals, including arranging meetings, managing processes for Hearings and Inquiries
  • Maintaining and monitoring complaints and FOI records
  • Recording and monitoring Planning Performance Agreements
  • General Purchase Orders and process invoices relating to Development Management services
  • Maintain training record and co-ordinate officer training needs and induction programmes
  • Proactively contribute to the service of the Development Management function
  • Be able to work independently and within a team
  • General office support responsibilities
