Job summary

The Academy of Ancient Music invites applications for a Development & Events Co-ordinator to support fundraising activities and grow its community of Friends and donors.

Based in Cambridge with regular meetings and events in London, the role offers flexible remote work for the right candidate and a chance to oversee stewardship and cultivation events.

You will work closely with the Head of Development to deliver membership management and drive engagement.

Qualifications

  • Experience in fundraising and donor relations.
  • Strong organisational and teamwork skills.
  • Experience managing membership schemes.
  • Ability to plan and deliver stewardship and cultivation events.

  • Manage the Friends membership scheme for AAM.

Job description

Academy of Ancient Music is seeking a Development & Events Co-ordinator to play a vital role in supporting AAM’s fundraising activity.

Academy of Ancient Music is an orchestra with a worldwide reputation for excellence in baroque and classical music, bringing music vividly to life in committed, vibrant performances.

The successful candidate will help to build an engaged community of members and supporters who love and share in our work. Alongside proven relationship-building skills, they will be a highly organised and professional team-player with strong attention to detail and a desire to develop a thorough understanding of fundraising.

The role-holder will take responsibility for the management of AAM’s Friends membership scheme. Working closely with the Head of Development, they will oversee the delivery of stewardship and cultivation events for members, donors and prospects.

Location: Cambridge, with regular meetings and events in London. Flexible remote working considered for the right candidate.
