Overview

Development Engineer role at a reputable regional housebuilder delivering high‑quality residential developments across Yorkshire.

Join a supportive and collaborative technical team, playing a key role in managing the engineering aspects of new housing projects from land appraisal through to site completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering appraisals during land feasibility and acquisition stages
• Support the coordination of external consultants for highways, drainage and infrastructure design
• Help manage technical approvals (S38, S104, S278) and liaise with relevant authorities
• Coordinate utility designs and service connections for new developments
• Provide technical support to construction teams during the build phase
• Ensure compliance with local authority, NHBC and company standards

Qualifications

• 1‑3 years experience in a development, engineering or construction‑related role
• Local knowledge of the Yorkshire region and its authorities – must have local experience (no visa sponsorship available)
• Background in housebuilding, residential or infrastructure construction
• Understanding of roads, drainage and utility coordination
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, team‑oriented approach
