Job summary

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust in Worthing invites applications for a Counsellor (Development Role). The post offers NHS Band 6 with potential progression to Band 7 for accredited therapists. You will deliver short-term, evidence-based counselling in a supportive NHS Talking Therapies setting.

The role covers Step 3 modalities including PCE-CfD, IPT, DIT or CTfD, with training sponsored within 12 months. Flexible hours include full-time/part-time arrangements across South Team locations.

Qualifications

• Recognised professional qualification in Counselling or Psychotherapy.
• Accreditation with BACP/UKCP/NCS or equivalent.
• Post-qualification experience in counselling within NHS settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide Step 3 short-term counselling using PCE-CfD, IPT, DIT or CTfD.
• Accredit or move to Band 7 after approved NHS training.
• Deliver services Monday to Friday 8am–8pm with flexible hours.
