Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw)

Glasgow – Hybrid working across our Scottish development sites and from home

Home a place where you belong

Working across both development and delivery, this is a unique opportunity to manage our projects from start to finish and to continue to develop your skills to Senior Manager as you grow with us.

You’ll be delivering our new-homes schemes of mixed tenure across our Scottish regions on time and to budget, ensuring that an excellent offer for our customers and communities always lies at the heart of delivery.

What you’ll do
  • Work across project stages, from identifying sites and project appraisals to securing planning permission, completion of legals, site handovers to the end of the Defects Liability period.
  • Carefully manage budgets and expenditure, keeping projects on track and meeting performance targets while delivering real value.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with developers and contractors, ensuring our projects are managed with rigour and diligence to meet the highest standards.
  • Oversee compliance and design-led quality across all developments, keeping our customers’ needs at the heart of every decision.

You’ll report to Graeme, our Senior Development and Delivery Manager who is passionate about delivering market leading homes of the highest quality for our customers.

You’ll work alongside our award-winning team who are winners of the 2018 UK housing awards Development Programme of the year and achieved silver for best house at the What House Awards 2018 (bronze in 2017).

You have
  • Proven project management experience, delivering multi-site residential led development sites to design standards.
  • Experience in the commercial aspects of housing development, including planning, contractor procurement, contractor management through to sales.
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of working with contractors to deliver design-driven, compliant, and efficient schemes. You have delivered complex, mixed-tenure new home projects to time and budget.
  • Great knowledge and experience in the planning system and laws to implement compliant and approved schemes.
  • An eye for detail, be a great influencer, organiser and driver to handle multiple priorities across different schemes. You work seamlessly with partners, customers, and colleagues alike.

Working Monday to Friday, you’ll shape your own diary around work and your own commitments.

This is a hybrid role, so you’ll spend two days in our office at Glasgow, the others across our development sites and from home.

You must be able to use technology for delivering projects and managing budgets, online learning and collaborating with colleagues.

What’s in it for you?
  • 34 days leave (includes bank hols and a “me day” to use whenever you fancy) increasing to 39, the option to buy 5 more, and time off for volunteering too!
  • Matching pension contribution (up to 7% and life insurance of 3 x basic salary)
  • Health cash plan saving you from £1140 per annum. We’ll cover your costs (and kids if you have them) towards dental, optical, prescriptions, alternative therapies and lots more.
  • 800+ discounts on shops, holidays, days out, tech and more
  • Family friendly policies including maternity, paternity, adoption, neonatal, fertility and menopause support
