Job description

Role: The Developer Full‑Stack .Net will report to the Development Team Manager and works closely with 10 other developers. The incumbent will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing various features and components of our web‑based application. We're not just looking for someone to build what's in front of them - we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us, contribute ideas, and over time step into broader ownership in architecture, product design, or technical leadership. Below, is a brief description of the expected product the candidate will be working on. You will help build, extend and maintain our range of products including Equisoft /transfer, /pay, /trade and Pension Fusion. These are industry leading SaaS products used by numerous UK investment and pension companies to transfer portfolios of assets, invest in pensions, handle pension payroll and pension tax reporting. Our latest product in development, Pension Fusion, is the leading solution to provide pension data to the government's pension dashboard initiative. This will give individuals one dashboard to see all their pensions.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement new functionalities and build upon the application architecture for our range of software‑as‑a‑service (SaaS) products. For us, this means writing code that is robust, high‑performance and secure.
  • Most of your development time will be spent with .NET and C# but we require all developers to work with our JavaScript front‑end and our SQL Server database as well.
  • Conduct unit testing, using a test‑driven development approach where appropriate and work closely with the Test team to ensure the quality of the software.
  • Submit your code for review by colleagues to identify issues early.
  • Review your colleagues' code. We want to benefit from your input and expertise!
Qualifications
  • 3‑5 years' industry experience as a developer.
  • Strong knowledge of C# and .NET with strong object‑oriented principles.
  • Comfortable working across a stack including front‑end JavaScript and SQL Server.
  • Experience collaborating in small, cross‑functional teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written).

  • Knowledge with SQL generally and specifically SQL Server.
  • Experience working within Agile Methodology.
  • An interest in financial markets and/or personal finance.
