Job summary

Adecco is recruiting a Senior Apps Developer to join the Thames Valley Police Force in Kidlington. You will deliver and maintain locally developed software, ensuring high quality and timely support.

The role requires expertise in .Net, SQL and XML, with coaching responsibilities for a small team. You should be comfortable with travel and flexible hours as projects demand.

This temporary position offers a daily rate of £450 umbrella, 37 hours per week, and ends February 2027.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a software developer and systems designer, from concept through to support.
  • Expertise in multiple complex software languages and toolsets (e.g., .Net, SQL, XML).
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and adherence to industry standards.
  • Practical knowledge of ICT infrastructure, software development methods, and maintenance techniques.
  • A track record of coaching and mentoring developers, with an eye for quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in database software and operational/service architecture knowledge.
  • A full UK driving licence, as travel may be required across various locations.
