Responsibilities
  • Contributing to the development of software that delivers new features and improvements across front‑ and back‑end systems.
  • Writing and deploying clean, scalable, testable, and secure code with guidance from senior developers.
  • Assisting with technical support and issue resolution to maintain reliable, high‑quality systems.
  • Collaborating with Product Owners to understand requirements, define tasks, and manage workload via Azure DevOps.
  • Supporting our modernisation journey by helping to transition legacy platforms into more efficient, sustainable solutions.
Qualifications
  • Some hands‑on experience with at least one of these modern development languages or frameworks - .NET, Java or Python.
  • A basic understanding of SQL and working with relational databases.
  • A natural curiosity for learning new languages, tools, and approaches.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively within a team and share ideas openly.

Working Hours and Location

Working hours are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, hybrid working is available. Located in Greater Manchester (initially based in Stockport with a move to Manchester Science Park mid to late 2026).
