Deutsche Bank AG invites applications for its 2027 UK Quant Internship programme. You will work in QRD Labs, applying ML and NLP techniques to real business problems. Expect hands-on projects, mentorship, and exposure to a fast-paced, collaborative culture within Deutsche Bank.
Applicants should be pursuing a postgraduate degree in a quantitative field, with outstanding academic records. The internship runs for 18 weeks starting May–June 2027, with a focus on building practical research
The Deutsche Bank Internship Program is designed to help you develop your skills through formal training and continuous support. You’ll quickly gain the confidence to take on real projects by learning first‑hand how and what we deliver for clients worldwide. You’ll feel supported by colleagues from across our business and start to develop your professional network.
Quantitative Research & Development Labs ( QRD Labs) is a research and development team within DB Group Strategic Analytics ( GSA). Its central mission is to empower the sales and trading functions (and related teams) with quantitative data-driven models and tools that leverage the latest developments in the AI/ML space. You will have the opportunity to use your strong foundational knowledge in deep learning and/or natural language processing to build solutions for the business which are both practical and innovative.
Our interns learn about our business through on-the-job experience. You will gain a significant understanding of the work we do, our team culture, and will develop your quantitative skills through real-life application.
You may find yourself working on one large project for the entire internship or a series of smaller projects, much as you would do as a full-time member of the team. Get ready to use your quantitative and programming skills to provide impactful research and implement real solutions.
You’ll also be exposed to a fast-paced and agile culture giving you the opportunity to meet and engage with leaders across the organization.
Please note that to progress onto the final stage assessment, applicants will need to attend an in-person technical test on a specified date and location, which is not flexible. More details will be shared with the successful shortlisted candidates.
Feeling healthy, engaged and well-supported, enables us to do our best work and get the most out of life outside of the office. That’s why Deutsche Bank is committed to providing benefits and programmes centred around wellbeing.
