Job summary

The ideal candidate has prior painting experience, knowledge of materials and techniques, good colour sense, and a valid CSCS card; strong attention to safety and quality is essential. Reliability and the ability to work with teams to meet deadlines are valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Painter or similar role.
• Knowledge of painting materials, tools and techniques.
• Good attention to detail and colour awareness.
• CSCS card is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes and repairing imperfections.
• Protect furniture, floors, fixtures and other areas from paint and damage.
• Mix and match paints and finishes according to specifications.
• Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns and other equipment.
• Apply primers, undercoats, sealants and decorative finishes as required.
• Ensure work is completed to a high standard with a neat finish.
• Inspect completed work and carry out touch-ups as necessary.
• Maintain painting tools, equipment and work areas in clean and safe condition.
• Follow health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Work efficiently to meet project deadlines.
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, colleagues, customers and other trades.
