Job summary

The Cornwall Bakery, part of Samworth Brothers, is seeking a Despatch Operator to prepare products for delivery on a busy despatch line. You will pack, check, and ensure orders are ready for shipping in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have good numeracy and attention to detail, with a basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards. Join a collaborative team committed to taking pride in quality and timely delivery.

• Good manual dexterity and ability to handle stock.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pack products safely and accurately on the despatch line.
• Check labels, dates, and product quality.
• Ensure orders are complete and ready for delivery.
• Move trays, boxes, and stock safely around the work area.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health and safety rules.
• Report any product or equipment issues to the team leader.
• Keep the despatch area clean and organised.
• Work closely with other team members to meet daily targets.
• Demonstrate good attention to detail.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to follow instructions and procedures.
