Position: DespatchClerk

ContractType: Permanent – 40 hours

Location: Baginton, Coventry

Shift: Monday – Friday / Daytime

Salary: £12.21 per hour

What You’ll Do

This is a key operational role in the Control Room, reporting to the Duty Process Manager, as part of a team responsible for the coordination of the Linehaul vehicles transitioning on site. Also pivotal in the day-to-day management of the Ryton based Linehaul drivers.

Key Role Responsibilities
  • Understand and interpret Linehaul schedules as produced by the Linehaul Planners.
  • Matching of drivers to schedules.
  • Production of outbound loads and load manifests for driver dispatch purposes.
  • Briefing and debriefing of site-based drivers including agency drivers.
  • Downloading of Digicards and production of infringement letters if relevant.
  • Completion of Agency Declaration Forms and Agency Hours Forms.
  • Allocation and recording of vehicles issued.
  • Processing of vehicle defect notes in line with legal and company policy requirements.
  • Vehicles inbound and outbound processes via Yard Management System.
  • Movement and positioning of load units on site via Yard Management System.
  • Liaison with warehouse staff regarding inbound and outbound loads.
  • Production of internal operational reports as required
