A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Analyst to provide dedicated 2nd line IT support on-site in Northampton. The role includes troubleshooting hardware/software issues and maintaining IT systems in a business-critical environment. Candidates should have strong backgrounds in Microsoft Windows and Office 365, along with excellent communication and customer service skills. The contract is inside IR35 with a rate of £150 per day.
Overview: Seeking an experienced Desktop Support Analyst to deliver dedicated 2nd line IT support for business-critical operations within regulated functions. The role involves managing hardware and software issues, maintaining IT systems, and ensuring smooth day-to-day technology performance across the organization.
Provide 2nd line technical support for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software incidents within agreed SLAs.
Use ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow, JIRA, Assyst) to log and manage tickets.
Build, configure, and maintain end-user devices and IT assets.
Support meeting room technology and office IT equipment.
Escalate complex issues and collaborate with Service Delivery teams.
Maintain accurate service documentation and contribute to knowledge base updates.
Strong background in Microsoft Windows and Office 365 environments.
Proven experience supporting end-user hardware and software.
Familiarity with remote admin tools and ITSM systems.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
Knowledge of ITIL processes (certification desirable).
Northampton (5 days on-site)
