Responsibilities
- Configure and install various network devices and services (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, SDWAN, QoS).
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
- Monitor performance, system resource utilization and do capacity planning to ensure system availability and reliability.
- Provide Level‑2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
- Test for network vulnerabilities: evaluate, test, and troubleshoot technologies for information security issues.
- Prepare reports: write comprehensive reports based on findings, including assessment‑based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further system security enhancement.
- Produce documentation: create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to server and security infrastructure.
- Create network security policies: devise comprehensive policies addressing security issues, implementing security strategies, allocating administrative tasks, monitoring audit logs, and establishing password procedures.
- Maintain partner relationships: keep strong relationships with integrators and vendors regarding installations, technological advances, exploration of new features and functions.
- Mentor junior engineers, provide guidance, training and upskilling to team members.
