Help us create a better future, quicker
Are you ready to take your infrastructure expertise into the dynamic world of Operational Technology (OT)? We're looking for an OT Windows Desktop Engineer to join our team, supporting the critical infrastructure that drives real‑time monitoring and control of physical systems and processes.
In this role, you'll be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of Windows desktop environments within OT. You'll play a key part in delivering secure, reliable, and cost‑effective services that support both end‑user computing and enterprise applications, all within the framework of Iberdrola Global Group standards.
You'll collaborate closely with cybersecurity, digital transformation, and operational teams across onshore and offshore environments, ensuring systems are configured, updated, and protected. From diagnosing technical issues and managing hardware to implementing security measures and supporting disaster recovery planning, your work will be central to maintaining system integrity and availability.
This is a hands‑on role that involves everything from setting up desktop systems and managing backups to providing user support and maintaining documentation. You'll also contribute to the development of OT policies and processes where global standards don’t yet exist, helping shape the future of OT within the UK Renewables Centre of Excellence.
We're looking for someone who thrives in enterprise‑level environments, has a strong grasp of ITIL processes, and brings excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS is a plus, as is a background in managing large‑scale desktop deployments and supporting diverse user bases.
If you’re a proactive problem‑solver who is comfortable with change, confident in building relationships, and ready to work across cross‑functional teams and third‑party providers, we'd love to hear from you.
