Job summary

Vogue Sourcing UK is seeking a Designer (Ladies Tailoring/Formal) to join our team in the Manchester or Leicester office. You will create original design ideas, source fabrics, and develop seasonal themes while managing specs for factories.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in design, strong Illustrator/Photoshop skills, and a keen eye for colour and fabric. Travel to Leicester and occasional overseas trips are required to support design initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in fashion design.
• Proficient in Illustrator or Photoshop.
• Creative and trend-driven with good eye for colour and fabric.
• Able to travel to Leicester and occasional overseas travel.
• Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop original design ideas, concepts, embroideries, fabrications and seasonal themes.
• Source fabrics to meet design requirements.
• Create specs/tech packs for factories.
• Ensure critical path is adhered to and track key dates.
• Liaise with factories and overseas offices and buyers.
• Develop and present trend packs and color inspirations.
• Manage expenses and returns related to design workflow.

Vogue Sourcing is an exciting fast paced and dynamic fashion supplier with offices around the globe. We are searching for a Designer (Ladies Tailoring/Formal) to join our team based in the Manchester or Leicester office.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creating and developing original design ideas, concepts, embroideries, fabrications and seasonal themes
• Sourcing of relevant fabrics to meet the design requirements
• Responsible for own account
• Developing original themes for seasonal collections
• Creating specs/tech packs for our factories
• Ensuring critical path is adhered to, and keep on top of all key dates
• Assist the design process
• Liaising with factories and overseas offices
• Creating relationships with buyers
• Inspiration and sourcing trips abroad
• Trend packs/ colour inspiration
• Managing expenses and returns

ABOUT YOU

• +3 years minimum background in Design
• A good understanding of illustrator and or photoshop
• Creative and trend driven with a good eye for colour and fabric
• Flexible and able to travel to Leicester and occasional overseas travel.
• Attentive to detail with the ability to think creatively
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Team player and able to build relationships
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• To be able to deal with all challenges in a calm and positive manner
