Designer – Masonry Support Systems

Location: Liverpool

Remuneration: £30,000 - £40,000 + bonus

Benefits: 21 days annual leave, hybrid work available, pension

Responsibilities
  • Design masonry support systems such as wall ties, wind posts, lintels, cavity trays, brick soffit systems, brackets, angles, and ties for brickwork façades.
  • Review architectural and structural drawings to define support requirements.
  • Produce clear design drawings and technical details for site installation.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and suppliers to confirm solutions.
  • Provide technical support to project and site teams.
  • Ensure all designs meet building regulations and project specifications.
  • Resolve site queries and coordination issues related to masonry support.
  • Handle projects ranging from £5,000 to £500,000.
Qualifications
  • Experience designing masonry support systems, including masonry, lintels, wall ties, wind posts, tension bars, steel beams, concrete reinforcement, concrete support systems, metal decking, rainscreen cladding, and anchors.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Solidworks software packages.
  • Ability to work independently and hit the ground running.
