Job summary

A leading fashion supplier in the United Kingdom is seeking a Designer specializing in denim and wovens. The successful candidate will lead trend research and design, focusing on opportunities in both menswear and womenswear. You will create mood boards, develop technical packs, and manage samples while collaborating with suppliers and internal teams. Remote work is an option, with occasional travel. Candidates with experience in major UK retailers will be especially favored.

Job description

We are recruiting for a Designer across denim and wovens to join a highly successful and well-established fashion supplier.

You will lead the trend research, design and development and ideally have experience working with large volume retailers such as Inditex / Next / River Island. They are looking for someone with a great eye, can identify product opportunities and who is very creative and comfortable working across menswear and / or womenswear.

This role can be worked remotely, travel when required.

Main Responsibilities
  • Designing across denim and non-denim product categories.
  • Conducting trend research to support seasonal direction across denim and woven.
  • Creating mood boards aligned to brand identity.
  • Producing detailed and accurate technical packs for development and production.
  • Managing sample follow-up, including reviewing, commenting, and progressing samples.
  • Attending internal and external meetings as part of the design and development process.
  • Shopping for inspiration and product development purposes.
  • Travelling as required to support design, sourcing and customer relationships.
  • Managing sample logistics and shipments, including coordination with couriers.
Person Specification
  • Proven experience within a fashion design role, ideally covering both denim and non-denim.
  • Ideally experience working across major UK retailers is highly desirable.
  • Strong trend research skills across both fashion and graphic design.
  • Confident in creating mood boards and delivering design presentations.
  • Technically competent, with experience producing detailed technical packs.
  • Clear and effective communicator, able to work closely with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with willingness to travel when required.
